Concave Platter 3, Pistachio & Grey

These pieces are from the constructed colour series, they are made from cylindrical, hockey puck shaped blocks of coloured earthenware clays. The pieces are carved on the wheel to reveal the internal patterns and colours inside the clay block. The edges of these pieces have been left to show the layering of the clays and the backs have been carved into rings to allow the clay to dry evenly.
